He made this charge while declaring open a youth programme tagged ‘Ogun Youth Summit‘ held on Friday, November 22, 2018, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Auditorium, Abeokuta.

He stated that the youth should not only be satisfied with the possession of voters cards but should also engage in constructive and objective scrutiny of all political office seekers before they cast their votes.

Moreover, he averred ” If the intellectuals refuse to actively participate in politics, the participating fools will make laws that must be obeyed by the intellectuals”.

The Chairman, House Committee on Rural Development, who was continuously cheered by the participants at the historic event for his oratory delivery of the message to the youth concluded by saying he was ready to partner with the youth when he becomes the governor of the state.

The summit was the first of its kind in the state and was put together by a group of youth across the state coordinated by Messrs Dayo Ayoade and Banky.

Amongst the speakers at the Summit was Omooba Sunday Solarin who spoke on the NEED FOR THE YOUTH INVOLVEMENT IN POLITICS.
