PDP OGHA Primary: Solarin emerged Winner

Omooba Sunday Solarin, FCA has been declared the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party Ogun State House of Assembly primary for Ikenne State Constituency held on October 4, 2018 at Ikenne Remo.

Solarin scored total votes of 103 to clinch the ticket. Having fulfilled all electoral requirements, the Returning Officer, Mr Gbenga Adeyemi, declared Omooba Sunday Solarin as the Ikenne State Constituency duly elected PDP candidate for Ogun State House of Assembly 2019 general elections.

The announcement of Solarin as the elected candidate elicited joy amongst party delegates and faithful.

Hon Kamorudeen Ariyo, PDP Chairman, Ikenne LG, said “the election of Solarin is a wonderful development. He is most suited for the job.” Mr Solomon Salami, a delegate from ward 5, Iperu Remo, expressed confidence in Solarin saying “we are happy with our choice because we believe he will represent our constituency well.”

Yeye Adenike Adebutu, a delegate and wife of Hon Ladi Adebutu and Hon Kayode Adebayo, Ogun East Senatorial Chairman, took turn to make remarks. They both agreed that Solarin was a worthy representative.

In his acceptance speech, Solarin, who is a chartered accountant, expressed his gratitude to the delegates for their unflinching support. He assured them of good representation when elected in 2019.
